Alpine Mentors - New Colorado Chapter

The first Alpine Mentors (AM) group recently finished its 2-year mentorship program with a 4-week expedition to a mountain called Brahmasar 4 in the Indian Himalyas. Now a Colorado chapter is starting up and has teamed up with some of the world’s most accomplished and experienced climbers and alpinists.

Grivel athlete, Steve House explains the Alpine Mentors program. The program promotes alpinism by encouraging, coaching and climbing with technically proficient young alpinists who aspire to climb the world's greatest mountains in a lightweight, low-impact style.

Alpine Mentors Opens Pacific Northwest Chapter

Alpine Mentors is getting a little brother: Alpine Mentors Pacific Northwest (AM-PNW).

AM-PNW is a partnership between Alpine Mentors and the Northwest Region of the American Alpine Club. Together they promote alpinism by encouraging, coaching, and climbing with technically proficient young alpinists who aspire to climb great mountains in a lightweight, low-impact style.

Alpine Mentors in Canada: Video and Photos

Alpine Mentors, a Grivel sponsored program, spent some time up in Canada to snag some ice and alpine ascents. Alpine Mentors is a two-year program where small groups of young alpinists train and climb with mentors to achieve climbs perceived to be beyond their reach.
